For the full family resource corner, we planned that traffic flow, pathways, and separated specialized areas.

The children's area in the family resource corner that we set up in my home. We included educational children's toys, a donation box, children's artworks on the wall, family photos and children's book.

We presented extensively on resources obtained from community partners for the different family structures in Singapore.

For the full family resource corner, we planned that traffic flow, pathways, and separated specialized areas.
As part of an assignment for the module Family & Community Partnership, my group and I set up a mock family resource corner area at home to facilitate discussion between family members and teachers in the preschool.

In addition, we created a presentation on the different types of family structures in Singapore. We also carried out a 5-min roleplay on a conflict with a parent and teachers in the preschool, earning us a B+ grade.
Using my experience in previous practicums, I provided library books on parenting, family board games and printed out community brochures and posters for the family resource areas.
I conducted research and worked together with my groupmates on how to make our corner more welcoming to parents, enabling me to work on improving key skills like communication, teamwork and planning.

What I learned:
- Responsibility by ensuring I contributed to discussion sessions, completed my tasks on time and provided help and understanding to groupmates who couldn't submit their parts on time.
- Organization skills by communicating with my group members and delegating materials to everyone to prepare for the family resource corner set-up.
