Hi! I'm Hai Qing, a polytechnic graduate with a diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE). As the older sister of a brother with autism, I have had experience caring for children with different special needs, effectively equipping me with the patience and teaching skills needed to help children nurture and transition to school.
I'm passionate about children and animals, and I volunteer and write in my free time!
Since young, I have been an avid reader. This interest in reading has expanded to learning about linguistics--thus I have acquired the ability to understand basic Japanese and Korean. I have also dabbled in translation, doing Chinese to English translation as both volunteer work and professionally.

I am also passionate about writing, and am currently drafting a novel manuscript. One dream of mine is to become a traditionally-published author, and to be able to release Middle Grade and children's books to help nurture a love for reading in children and young readers.

I strongly believe that play is an essential tool to help children to learn and develop skills in all the domains and nurture holistically. Ensuring that children enjoy their childhood and time in the classroom is what I aim to do through my lessons, and thus it is imperative that every child's interests and abilities are taken into consideration.
